URL Masking means that the visitors to the domain name will be forwarded to your destination website; however the URL in their browser address bar will remain the same. Also known as Stealth Redirection or URL Hiding, this will ensure that your visitors see the original domain name and not the destination URL.

URL masking causes the browsers address to show a different URL than the actual URL of the web page being viewed. In other words, URL masking causes a link URL to show in the browsers status bar different than the URL of the web page being linked to. URL masking is effective in marketing.

URL masking is sometimes called a pointer domain. It looks like it is the domain name when it is used in a browser, but it is simply a mask overlaying the real domain name and its content.
