I believe that if your content is highly relevant and interesting (good user experience), it would survive any Google updates. Only blackhat SEO needs to worry about Google updates.

1. Latest new Google algorithm is "Medic' core update which launched on 1 August 2018, This update seemed to disproportionately affect sites in the health and wellness vertical, although the large-scale impact was seen in all verticals.

2. Chrome Security warning full site Launched on 24 July 2018, this update could impose on those sites which not using HTTPS because it considers that this types of sites are unsecured
