LSI means Latent Semantic Indexing. Search Engines do not like use Same Keywords again and again. It is called Keyword stuffing which is highly offensive to the search engine. So what you should do for that?
You have to avoid this keyword stuffing of main keywords using LSI keywords. It looks authentic & normal to us & also to the search engine spiders. So use LSI keywords to be safe from this kind of issues. There are a lot of LSI keywords finding tools & processes available on the web.

I believe that when you use LSI words in your article, it helps to rank better in SERP as Google values words that are organically related rather than repetition of the word throughout the article. It makes sense because it is good for user experience as well. I would prefer to read articles that don't repeat the same keyword over and over again, but would prefer a different related word in the mix as well.

Latent semantic indexing (LSI) is a system search engines use to analyze the other words people use surrounding a given topic. LSI keywords are words and phrases with a high degree of correlation to your target topic. Google's algorithm uses them to help determine content quality and relevance to the search term.
