Am I correct in understanding that the so called "sandbox effect" is simply a period of time immediately after a new site has started promoting itself that it appears to "sink" or "to be buried" deep in the SERPS ?
I'm a non programmer and so am really interested only in the practical aspect of it. It seems the first three months since my site has been promoted it was nowhere and only recently it started being seen for anything.
In fact it was slightly longer than 3 months. Is this an example of the sandbox effect?
