Mysql Error: Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost'

Hi everyone.

I downloaded the tool and uploaded it to the directory. When i access the directory, all requirements are met. Upon proceeding to the next step, the database settings page.. I cant seem to be able to do it.

Irrespective of what values I enter, it says Mysql Error: Access denied for user 'admin'@' localhost' (using password: YES)

I have tried creating a seperate database using my cpanel and entering the corresponding values, it doesnt work.
I have tried entering random values, that doesnt work either.

Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

also, i noticed the config/sp-config.php file is empty. Is it supposed to be that ways?

Edit: I also tried installing it on my local machine. Curl, php short tags enabled...still gives me the same damn problem. Help here please..

will be empty, after installation only it will be filled with values.
