I did a submission to about 50 directories two weeks. Only one has succeeded so far. How long does it typically take to be accepted?

I got a lot of emails from the directories. What % of them include you even if you don't buy the upgrade?

Confirmation of submission always depend on the owner of Directory sites. Different website takes different time. for example if you submitted your domain name in DMOZ.ORG then it will take 5-6 months time to submit your domain name in his directory.

Some directories would take at least one week but this would really depend on the owner and moderators of the website. Hope this could help.
