SMTP port

Postby seonoob » Mon Dec 31, 2012 3:40 am

How do we set the SMTP port. I know the default is 25 but my SMTP server runs on a different port.

Thanks

Actually the port maybe ok but it needs to use ssl or tls.

A good test would be if you can use gmail to send the reports.

Okay got it to work.

I'm using Hostgator as my host and they do run their SMTP server on port 26.

To get it to work I had to change file phpmailer.class.php with the following changes:
Code: Select all
    /**
     *  Sets the default SMTP server port.
     *  @var int
     */
    var $Port        = 26;

It would be nice to have all of the parameters available to change from the settings screen within SEO Panel.
