Thanks a lot

I've been working in SEM/IM for a very long time and indeed only recently did these certifications appear. (a few years ago). And almost every 3rd "newbie wannabe online marketer" has them. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is an umbrella term that describes the different methods you can use to make your Web site more visible on search engines so that you can drive more traffic to your site.

SEM is an acronym for Search Engine Marketing. The main purpose of SEM is to attract attention, new customers, and inbound links to your website. SEM includes everything from submitting a site to directories, search engines, creating content that encourages organic links, and promoting the website through newsletters, to using social networks, videos, and article publication.
