Crawl Meta Data

When attempting to Crawl meta data for websites I am not getting anything to populate or appear. I have confirmed curl is installed, tested on multiple websites that have crawl enabled on them with no success. When I enter my url and then attempt to crawl it by click the link next to url entry area, I get javascript:void(0); but no execution of any code or icon showing that it is currently gathering information. What can I do fix this issue?
